We (well most of us) are all aware of Google's music offerings and most of us have uploaded our music and / or purchased music from Google Play to use the streaming service so I am not going to bother doing a review on that aspect, trust me the web is full of quality reviews on that aspect of Google Play Music. I am going to focus on the newest offing All Access Radio. In a nutshell it is a streaming service not unlike Pandora, iheartradio, slacker and many others where you type in an artist, group, band or song and the back-end picks a playlist of the "same type" music. For example, if you enter in Lady Gaga you're going to get a mix of mostly top 40 pop, dance and techno, while all of the services can do this adequately Google seems to have found the magic acorn because out of all of the services (and I have used almost all of the offerings in the last few years looking for the best of the best) Google's is the best. Let me explain; I am a professional driver, I am on the road 6 to 8 hours a day five days a week, sometimes six, and I stream music from my smartphone ALL DAY LONG (I have unlimited data so I can do this.. thanks +T-Mobile) and it is inevitable, listen long enough and you start to get repeats... it happens in every single service I have ever used... except Google's (the magic acorn). Another thing I have found that also makes listening a joy is the ability to know what song is next in the playlist, let me show you:
1. You create a station (or pick one you have already created)
2. Here you see the station Playing
3. here you can see the playing track
4. Here you can scroll forward or backward to either replay a song you really love or skip past a few to find a new one you really want to hear.
All in all I love the new service and will happily pay the $7.99 a month to use it after my free trial is over. My only complaint is Google has yet to offer a way to upload music via the Chromebook or even a reliable way to do it on anything that isn't Windows.. but that's a different topic.

I killed Twitter
I've finally had enough, Twitter has simply become too annoying to keep around anymore. I've been hacked three times in the last month, the in stream advertisements are getting worse and appearing more often and I'm tired of the almost constant flow of spam followers (sure I could go private but that kills the point of getting more followers in my opinion). I loved Twitter when it first came out, even through it's constant over capacity issues (remember the fail whale) I stuck it out, but no more, I killed Twitter and that's that.

Geocaching
Spent most of the afternoon Geocaching today, went to a WWFM (World Wide Flash Mob) event in a Lancaster park to celebrate May the 4th then took the Star Wars Geocache challenge where Geocachers had to find 4 hidden caches with partial coordinates contained within to discover the location of the final 5th cache. I met a bunch of local Geocachers and even assisted a couple who sent me an email just as it was getting dark asking for a hint to the final cache (they had the coordinates but not being from the area they were concerned that where the coords led might not be safe to enter.. it was of course).
All in all I had a good day, in beautiful weather, to Geocache and I might even find myself out tomorrow
